Oh, How The Mighty Have Fallen

We've arrived in Cambodia and, I have to admit, we are experiencing a bit of culture shock. We had a nice, easy flight over on a very colorful plane - though we already had some baggage over weight issues at the airport. Yikkes. Did we really buy that much in Bangkok?




And then we get to our hotel.

Have you seen the website? It looks like a cute bungalow nestled in a tropical garden. And it is...but its also the size of a postage stamp...I'm not kidding...we can barely fit ourselves and our luggage in the room. Here it is - all of it. ALL OF IT. Seriously, I had to back into the bathroom to get this shot.




We're hard-core travellers and this isn't something that would normally bother us, but after coming from the luxury of the Shangri-la, I think we must be having withdrawls. After all, this room barely has a shower much less a butler. It is, however, clean and charming with a lovely pool. It also has an outdoor pavilion where you can get an hour-long massage for $5. Yes, that's right $5.

I think I'm going to learn to love this place.
