When in Rome...

We're off to Rome today. It's about a 2 hour train ride on the fast train from Florence We're packing a picnic lunch (pesto, prosciutto, cheese, bread and half a bottle of wine) to pass the time.

We don't have much time in Rome (a day and a half) so we'll see how Todd does with my super-packed sightseeing schedule. We're going to try to fit in most of the "ancient" sights: the Colosseum, the Pantheon and Roman Forum. And we'll try to hit some of the major fountains. We've had our fill of the Madonna and Bambino paintings in Florence, so we won't be visiting Vatican City this time. My guess is we'll be back.
