Reef fatigue

It happens every trip. In Cambodia, after several ancient temples they start to lose their awe. In Egypt, after several pyramids you start to say, "you've seen one pyramid, you've seen them all." In Germany it happens with castles. And in Australia, reef fatigue starts to set in.
The first of everything I've seen was, "wow, look at that!" but after seeing the 10th one of whatever, it begins to loose impact.

Still, I did have more great dives today, even if it was more of the same. Different things that I dis see today were a lagoon ray, a flower mouth sea cucumber, and a grouper. I also played with something that looks like a starfish/teranchela, and I tormented some more clown fish as I have always loved to do.

I hired (that's what they say here instead of "rent") an underwater camera today, too. I got some pictures but they are all on CD. As soon as I find a computer I'll get them posted.

Tomorrow, I take the skyrail into the rainforest. That shoul have so good photo ops too.

  1. I really miss tormenting the clown fish! That was always the most fun of any dive.
