We saved the best for last...today we went to visit the mother of all Khmer temples, Angkor Wat. The temple was amazing, - eventually. Unfortunately, our tuk-tuk driver for the day dropped us off at the back entrance to the grand temple, which isn't nearly as impressive as the front (shown here). Crystal and I walked around for about 30minutes before we actually found the front gate and had the awe-struck moment that most visitors get when they arrive. Our next stop was another famous temple - Ta Prohm. After Angkor Wat, this is the one you see in all the guidebooks (and Tomb Raider). For some reason, Crystal and I seem to like the crumbling temples better than the restored ones, and we played around the broken piles of rocks here for about an hour.

After all these great site, we do have to admit we were beginning to suffer from "temple fatigue." So we hopped on an earlier flight to Bangkok this afternoon and plan to get in a little last minute shopping tomorrow before the the long trip back.
Where have all the days gone?
I know what you mean about temple fatique! After 3 days, all of the temples, while magnificent, started to blur together for me. Looks like you guys are having a wonderful time. Make sure you try the local Bangkok delicacy - fried crickets:) Safe travels.
