It's been a lovely cruise...

If you didn't just hum that title, then it's been too long since you've listened to Jimmy Buffet's greatest hits. :)

We did have a lovely cruise. It's been 3 years since we tried a family vacation with all 5 of us. The last one we went to Disney World, and it was tough. We did much better this time. The kids shared a room, Larry and I shared a room. We all did things together and did our own things too.

They always say each cruise is different, and this one was too. This ship, the Fantasy, was much bigger than the Wonder we were on last year. It didn't seem as personalized this time; I'm sure that's hard to do with 4000 people. The lines were longer, and the crowds were bigger, but the ship is newer and has some magical things that the older ship didn't have. For instance, on the Fantacy,  you would walk by a painting on the wall and it would enchant and start talking to you. There was an incredible water slide that even had you ride over the side of the ship. There was also a fun ship detective game that went along with some of the enchanted artwork. Last trip we watched lots of movies at the theater. This time I only went once on the very last night. Last cruise we never went to the adult clubs (it was my mom and me, so we weren't going to dance together), but this time Larry and I went every night. We also went to Palo one night for a fancy dinner. On the Wonder though our room steward was phenomenal, our waitstaff did magic tricks for Coral, we got to walk the Red Carpet for the Golden Muckey's while Coral went on stage as a dwarf. So both cruises were wonderfully magical in their own different way...can't wait for the next one.
