We had a wonderful time walking around. All the buildings are covered in beautiful tiles. If you look closely you can see some here.
We started at Sao Raquo church which was amazing. It has an incredible painted ceiling and gilded chapels all around the perimeter.
One of the chapels, the one devoted to St John, is said to be the most expensive in Europe. It has 6 columns made of Lapis.
We then went to the museum of the Sacred Heart. It's has beautiful religious objects on display. It also has two relics, a thorn from Jesus' crown of thorns, and a piece of wood from his crib. Here is Coral in front a little St. Anne statue, the namesake of her school.
From there we went to see the Elevator. It's kind of Lisbon's version of the Eiffel Tower. It is a metal tower with a restaurant on top that offers wonderful views of the city.
Once we were back on the ship Coral and I tried out the water slides a couple of times and then mom and I capped it off with a wine tasting.
