The Chatuchak Market

The mother load of flea markets - Chatuchak or JJ's market is one of Asia's largest outdoor markets with about 15,000 stalls. It's a hot, sticky, crowded maze where vendors sell everything under the sun including handicrafts, ceramics, modern Thai art, fake 22K gold earrings and used tennis shoes.

By pure luck Crystal and I found the maze of traditional Thai handicrafts right as we entered the market and the fun began.

By the end of the morning we were hot and sweaty and loaded down with bags filled with silk pillow cases, Thai carvings, a framed Cambodian Buddha and jade horse, a silk jacket and gifts for friends back home.
