The ocean from Santa Monica Pier
Eager to dip my toes in any ocean, even if it was not first choice, I made my way to Santa Monica this morning. I continue to be surprised that June does not equate to summer on the west coast. It was cold this morning walking along the beach, more like March weather in Houston. It warmed up some though. I remember two years ago when I went to Oregon in June and it was freezing! That's just crazy.
